Only 200 parking passes for Non-resident, non-owner will go on sale on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. A limit of ONE vehicle per household at the cost of $250.00. The sale will take place at the Dick M. Johnson Civic Center at 8:00 am. We have a limit of 200 passes to sell. Customers will be given a card with a number between 1 and 200.
Please have the application form filled out, your vehicle’s current registration, and your driver’s license. We accept cash, checks, or cards.
We do not take American Express. CLICK HERE for the application.

Paid parking in the Town of Surfside Beach public parking lots resumes on March 1, 2026, and continues through October 31, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parking is free before or after these hours.
Premium Parking Lots will now be $3 per hour or $15 per day:

    • Know Your Zone is a public education campaign to inform the citizens and visitors of Horry County of the new hurricane evacuation zones and their vulnerability to storm surge.
  • Shelters
    • Horry County Shelter Information
      • A Special Medical Needs Shelter is a temporary facility capable of providing special nursing care to individuals whose physical and/or mental conditions are such that they exceed the capability of the Red Cross shelters but are not severe enough to require hospitalization. For more information call 843-365-3126 or 888-934-3577 and ask to speak to someone regarding Special Medical Needs shelters.
      • All Horry County Shelters will open as soon as possible after an evacuation is announced. They are all operated by the Red Cross and do not accept pets of any type.
      • See a list of Horry County Shelters.
      • Shelters listed may not be opened, or may change during the approach of a storm. Tune to radio and television stations for current information. Visit the Horry County Hurricane Information Center for shelter directions. Waccamaw Regional Transportation Authority, known as the Coast RTA, will provide rides to area shelters. Visit the Coast RTA for evacuation pickup points or download flyers for additional information.
